Accuma can offer a range of debt solutions and we don't apply the same approach to all debt problems. We tailor our advice towards your individual needs and circumstances, ensuring that we recommend the most appropriate solution for you.
Remember our debt advice is free and covers:
Debt Management Plans
If your debts are below £15,000 or if an IVA is not an option for you, an informal debt management plan may be the option best to solve your debt problems. We can advise you on the best way of setting up a plan, help you work out your affordable monthly payment and handle all the negotiation with your creditors.
IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement)
An IVA is an alternative to bankruptcy. It may be an option for you if you have an unsecured debt problem in excess of £15,000. For an IVA, we would negotiate with your creditors on your behalf with the aim of a reduced, single monthly repayment that will leave you debt free at the end of your IVA's duration.
Debt Consolidation Loan
A debt consolidation loan can be used to pay off any unsecured debts such as credit cards, loans and overdrafts leaving you with a single loan and one monthly repayment, which could be less than what you are paying now. A consolidation loan is only suitable for relatively small amounts of debt, and because it's is often secured against your home you should make sure you can afford to keep up the repayments, and get the best, professional debt advice. Debt consolidation loans can also be unsecured loans, however in the current economic climate these are more difficult to obtain then before.
Bankruptcy Advice
Often regarded as the last option, we can advise you on UK bankruptcy law and its short and long term implications, as well as what's involved in any bankruptcy procedures. Bankruptcy is a serious step, and we can help with our expert advice, but you should be aware that there may be other, less drastic options available to you, such as an IVA.
