This policy (together with our terms of use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (“the Act”), the Data Controller is Accuma Group of City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BT.

Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data from you.

• Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site  www.AccumaGroup.com (“our site”).  This includes information provided at the time of registering for use on our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services.
• Information that we may ask you for directly related to the purposes of providing you with advice, services or products you have requested.
• If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
• Details of transactions you carry through our site and the fulfilment of your instructions.

We may share non-personal aggregate statistics (group) data about our site visitors’ traffic patterns with partners or other parties. However, we do not sell share any information about individual users.

Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They may help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you is processed by our staff. By submitting your personal data you agree to us storing or processing it. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. You have the right to opt out of this marketing at any time and will been given the opportunity to do so if we contact you.

Debt Solutions

Accuma Group plc offers a range of debt solutions through it subsidiary businesses.  Depending on your individual situation your details will be passed to the relevant group business to assist you. Our Insolvency Practice for Individual Voluntary Arrangements are Wilson Phillips, for Debt Management Plans our company is Byrom & Keeley Financial Services and for Consolidation Loans our company is LoanLine. We may also, with your agreement, refer you on to other third party companies, not part of the Accuma Group. You will be informed of the company and the reason for referring you to them, before any details are passed to them.

If Accuma Group or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets. 
Your rights

In addition to the company’s safeguards, your personal data is protected in the UK by the Data Protection Act. This provides amongst other things that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive.  The information should be kept up to date, where necessary, and not retained for longer than is necessary. It should be kept securely to prevent unauthorised access by other people.  You have the right to see what is held about you and correct any inaccuracies. To do this please contact us by phone or e-mail.

Access to information

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10.00 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
